Albert Bader

Vacancy Pastor

Hello, I am Pastor Bader. I was born to Shayne and Stephanie Bader on June 15, 1993. I
grew up on the family feedlot, S & S Cattle Co. west of Cairo, NE with my three younger
sisters (Jessica, Jamie, and Justine) until 2003 when we moved to Worms, NE. While in
Worms I attended grade school at Zion Lutheran until the eighth grade. Then I attended
High School in Grand Island, NE at Heartland Lutheran High School. At the beginning of my
sophomore year, I met my wife Gretyl (Bremer). I graduated high school in 2012 and that
fall began studies at Concordia University Seward, NE with Gretyl. Following my junior year
of college, and after Gretyl graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education,
we were married at Grace Lutheran Church in Grand Island, by Grety’s father Rev. Daniel
Bremer, on June 20, 2015. When I had earned my bachelor’s degree in History in 2016 we
moved to Kendallville, IN. Gretyl was called to teach Kindergarten at St. John Lutheran
school in Kendallville and I continued my education by driving twenty-five miles south to
Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. On May 18, 2018, Gretyl and I were
blessed with our first son, Dawson J. Bader. Then two months later we moved to Lincoln, NE
for my year of vicarage at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In August 2019, we moved
back to Indiana for my last year of Seminary at Fort Wayne. While I attended classes,
Gretyl was called to teach second grade at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School west of
Fort Wayne. In April of 2020 I was called to serve St. John’s Lutheran Church.
On January 10, 2021, we were blessed with our first daughter Lincoln Ann.  My family and I enjoy
hunting, fishing, and being with friends and family.

Psalm 100: 1 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! 2 Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! 3Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
